Dean Castle, Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Scotland, UK. Dean Castle was originally built in the 14th century by the Boyd family using money donated by Robert the Bruce. In 1735 it was destroyed by fire and was subsequently restored by the 8th Lord Howard de Walden. The castle is now a tourist attraction.
