Following consultation with structural engineers owners and East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service the decision was made this afternoon to demolish parts of the Claremont hotel gutted by the recent fire. The decision has been taken following the collapse of parts of the building earlier this week. The area around the building remains closed to traffic and pedestrians.
