One is an electric thermostat for controlling thetemperature of cars by turning the electric heaters on andoff at a predetermined point, and the other is a tilting heatdeflector. The thermostat proper is made of two metals with dif-ferent coefficients of expansion, which work according towell-known physical laws and whichnever vary.
