Very closely related to Cygnodraco, but with the head and anterior part of the body more or less depressed and the interorbital region broader. The upper lateral line extends beyond the end of the dorsal fin. Dorsal with 42 to 46 rays; anal with 30 to 33 rays. Pelvics broader, generally a little shorter than pectorals. Two species. Graham Land and neighbouring islands; South Georgia.
