--FILE--Chinese actress Bai Baihe laughs during a press conference for her TV drama "Grow Up" in Shanghai, China, 21 January 2015. Actress Fan Bingbing has been the undisputed queen of the Chinese cinema for nearly the entire length of her 12-year movie career. After her breakout role in Feng Xiaogang¯s thriller Cell Phone back in 2003, she has appeared in dozens of films that have earned big profits for the filmmakers who cast her. Over the three year period from 2012 through 2014 her films grossed an aggregate 3.4 billion RMB ($541 million) in mainland Chinese theaters, more than any other actress. Fan has been ranked number one on the Forbes China Celebrity 100 list for the past three years, and she has ranked among the top 10 every year since 2006.But no one stays on top forever, and there are plenty of actresses who would be thrilled to seize Ms. Fans crown. The top contender at the moment is 31 year-old Bai Baihe, a relative newcomer who burst onto the scene in 2011 with her sleeper romantic comedy hit Love is Not Blind. Since then she has built a steady career with such successes as the 2013 romance A Wedding Invitation and Feng Xiaogangs comedy Personal Tailor. This summer her career has caught fire, with monster hit Monster Hunt on its way to a record-smashing Chinese domestic gross of $300 million.
