Wabash Avenue CHICAGO loaded. More or less the same situation developed with early tulips, but the sup- ply of Darwins was small. A few Iris tingitana appeared, but were not espe- cially desirable. Orchids were more abundant than they have been in monthS; some local and some imported. The price broke. Sweet peas sold especially well. The quality seldom has been better and the supply of other corsage flowers was small, 80 peas sold well, especially as the supply was ample and permitted mod- erate prices. The prospect is that there will be a flood of peas quite soon, though much depends on the weather. Roses had their full share of the extra demand for St. Valentine's day, but the orders were not heavy enough to push prices up more than a part of the dis- tance they had fallen. There were all the long roses that were called for and nearly enough shorts. By substituting a few of longer grade when the shorts ran out, the rose orders were filled in full. The quality was excellent. Eose crops are coming on again quite rapidly TRIMBLE'S PRICE LIST '^SJ'^ We NeTer CIOM Mr*.
