Four portraits of Victoria Melita of Edinburgh, in honour of her recent marriage to Grand Duke Ernst Ludwig of Hesse on 19th April 1894. Princess Victoria Melita was daughter of Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh and a granddaughter of Queen Victoria as well as of Tsar Nicholas II of Russia. Her marriage to her paternal first cousin Ernst Ludwig, ended in divorce in 1901. Date: 1894
