Girl Scouts mark the start of National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend in Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central Terminal in New York on Friday, February 7, 2014. Exuberant scouts filled the hall selling their cookies in the world's largest girl-led business. Girl Scout Cookies are 97 years old this year and the kick-off weekend is anxiously awaited by cookie-lovers in need of Samoas, Thin Mints, Trefoils and other tasty baked goods. The Girl Scout Cookie Program teaches girls essential lives skills, goal setting, money management, business ethics, decision making, and people skills enabling them to go forward and be successful in adulthood.
