On the eve of the full reopening of the hospitality sector, Jackson Carlaw, Scottish Conservative leader has launched a campaign to encourage Scots back onto high streets and into pubs, restaurants and cafes. Mr Carlaw visited the Cartvale pub and restaurant in Busby today to enjoy a pint and urge others to do the same, safely. Scottish hospitality, like many other sectors, has suffered a brutal financial set-back during the lockdown. Tomorrow is a crucial milestone for venues eager to rebuild and look to the future. Jackson Carlaw, Scottish Conservative Leader said: “This is a welcome and heartwarming milestone - our pubs, restaurants and hotels are fully opening up again and we are taking another step towards the new normal. “Our campaign will highlight our wonderful local pubs and restaurants and strongly encourage Scots to enjoy our pubs safely.
