Glasgow, UK. 25 January 2019. Various scenes showing different views from around the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. The original victorian building which is situated along one side has bird boxes hanging on the trees, and underneath an underpass bridging to parts of the hospital together hosts a collection of live pigeons roosting where a large portion of feathers and dried pigeon droppings can be seen staining the platform from which the pigeons are roosting. There have been 2 patient deaths reported recently which it is believed are linked to infections contracted through pigeon droppings via the air conditioning. An internal investigation is underway and a public enquiry into the deaths are looming.
