This year’s event was dedicated to raising awareness of the 17-year blockade and the ongoing genocide in Gaza. The campaign raised more than €600, 000 and the amount is to support the welfare of the children of Gaza. The event was a 300 km cycle ride from Ghent in Belgium to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague via the International Criminal Court (ICC). This was the event's 14th year. Between the afternoons of 12 and 15 August, according to the Ministry of Health (MoH) in Gaza, 108 Palestinians were killed and 249 were injured. Between 7 October 2023 and 15 August 2024, at least 40, 005 Palestinians were killed and 92, 401 were wounded, according to MoH in Gaza. (Photo by Charles M Vella / SOPA Images/Sipa USA)
