Police identified Kohberger, using DNA technology, and tracked the grad student to Pennsylvania through his car. Kohberger has an 2020 undergraduate degree from DeSales University in Pennsylvania June 2022 completed graduate studies there. Became a Ph.D. graduate student at Washington State University department of criminal justice and criminology, located less than 10 miles away from the University of Idaho. Kohberger arrest comes almost seven weeks after victims Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Madison Mogen, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20, and Ethan Chapin, 20, who were stabbed to death in their beds as they slept, in their off-campus home, on November 13, between 3 and 4 AM. The murders were the first in Moscow in seven years and have rocked the small college community. Kohberger was arrested in Monroe County, Pennsylvania. He is awaiting extradition to Idaho.
