Home coming of Unknown Soldiers on H.M.S. Verdun on way home to England. Saluting the dead on approaching Dover a 19-gun salute was fired from Dover Castle, she tied up at Admiralty Pier where General Sir John Longley supervised the six high ranking officers from the three Armed Services to bring ashore the coffin.
