The son of Hong Kong movie star Jackie Chan son was sentenced to six months in jail and fined 2, 000 yuan ($322) in Beijing today (9 January 2015) for providing a venue for drug users. Jaycee Chan, 32, admitted to the charge in Dongcheng district court. He was detained by Beijing police on Aug. 14 Dongcheng court said in its Weibo account. The jail term will be counted from his first day of detention and will end Feb 13, according to the verdict statement posted on social media platform Weibo. Jaycee Chan gave himself up to police and provided a venue for other drug users only four times since 2012, thus he should receive a relatively light sentence, Lin Meimei, a judge in the case, said in an online interview with Weibo, which was posted on the court¯s Weibo account.
