The day before yesterday, I posted a photograph of the Hungarian Parliament as seen from the river Danube. Yesterday, I shared a similar photograph taken during bright sunlight. Today's post showcases the Hungarian Parliament in a brilliant backlight. Interestingly, this picture was the very first one I captured of this iconic building as we sailed into Budapest. I believe that each of these photographs has something special about them, or at the very least, they are worth keeping. The silhouette of the Parliament in Budapest is undeniably iconic. It boasts intricate details, soaring spires, and a distinctive central dome, all displaying elements of Neo-Renaissance design. This architectural style was prevalent in the second half of the 19th century in Budapest, as well as in other major cities across Central Europe – Budapest, Hungary.
