Xiphiorhynchus was a giant swordfish that lived from the Eocene to the Miocene. It was similar to the modern day broadbill swordfish, but had both the upper and lower jaws elongated into sword-like protrusions. It may have been preyed upon by the megatoothed shark Otodus.
