Jabel Dosha near Soleb, northern SudanMore information:
Jebel Dosha is a sandstone rock located a few miles north of Soleb, northern Sudan. I got here from Sedeinga (see my other photos). There was a narrow path at the foot of the rock on the Nile side. I spotted a cave and some Egyptian inscriptions on the rock. I did not know much about it then. When I returned home I did google more about this place. The cave turned out to be a chapel of Thutmose III and the biggest stela (above the entrance to the cave) was dedicated to Seti I. Lepsius discovered the site as early as 1844 but even nowadays it is still not visited very often.
