RME14DRM–Apr. 18, 2012 - Navy Saves sixty four from Blazing tankers: Led by the 22,000 ton aircraft carrier HMS Bulwark the Royal Navy during the weekend helped rescue 64 survivors from two blazing tankers the 10,715 ton French Ferdinand Gilabert and the 20,551 ton Liberian Melika after they had collided off the coast of Oman, South of the Persian Gulf. Photo shows an aerial picture of the burning French Tanker Fernand Gilabert taken by a Skyraider Aircraft of HMS Bulwark on Sept. 13th. She is now being towed to Karachi by the frigate Loch Killisport.
