It is known as the national monument against violence and aggression. The sculpture was made from thousands of blunted knives handed in during a knife amnesty throughout the country in agreement with the 43 police constabularies. It was the idea of Clive Knowles, chairman of the British Ironwork Centre in Shropshire.
