On the outskirts of the lively market town of Nedumangad 20km northeast of Thiruvananthapuram, this beautiful palace is a fine example of Keralan architecture. The building contains a number of interesting features, such as secret passages, natural air-conditioning, cool floors and elaborate carvings. There is a coin collection which charts the development of international trade along the Malabar coastline.
