Landscape of the Da Qaidam Salt Lake, also known as the Emerald Lake, in Da Qaidam Administrative Committee in Haixi Mongol and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, northwest China's Qinghai province, 23 July 2018. Da Qaidam salt lake in Haixi Mongol and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, covering six square kilometers was formed by many years of mining, leaving a high concentration of salt called brine. It was named Emerald Lake because of its different and beautiful colors against the blue sky and snow-covered mountains.
