Leonardo robot. Leonardo is combination of animatronics and social robotics. Completed in 2002, it was designed in a collaboration between the Stan Winston Studio and Cynthia Breazeal of the Personal Robots Group of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Artificial Intelligence (AI) laboratory. Leonardo has 61 degrees of freedom, over half of them in its face, allowing it a wide range of realistic movements and expressions. It has had its fur skin removed here.
