Following an extended overhaul Class A4 Pacific Sir Nigel Gresley was temporarily painted in wartime black livery for 2022, and carried its original LNER number 4498. Repainting in blue as BR No 60007 would follow later. The locomotive is seen here at Goathland on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway during its Autumn Steam Gala on 25th September 2022. The train is waiting to depart for Pickering.
