August 22, 2023, Madrid, Madrid, Spain: Thousands of fans of the Spanish women's soccer team who celebrate the triumph of the players in the world championship that culminated in a victory against England in Sydney. More than 20, 000 people have gathered on Puente del Rey and its surroundings to shout in unison: ''Champions, champions'', after of the team consecration in the Women's Soccer World Cup that was held in Australia and New Zealand. 'La Roja' returned to Madrid and after a tour of the capital ended up in a great party as it had been in 2010 after the consecration of the men's team in South Africa. Many of the main streets and headers of the Iberian capital were painted to celebrate the arrival of the world champions. Some museums and town halls lit up with the colors of the Spanish flag in honor and recognition of the soccer players after winning the Women's World Cup for the first time.
