The town of Red River in northern New Mexico. Many of the wooden buildings have been given old west facades. Many of the town's facilities are geared towards toursim.Red River has summer and winter visitors. The winter sees snow sports and ski visitors. The town grew up as a town old prospectors all trying to strike it rich. Tey left and vacationers moved in to rent the houses and escape the summer city heat. The advent of air conditioning lead to a decline but the town was saved when the ski resorts were opened.
