The decapitated corpse of King Charles was ''lost'' there. King Charles II laid out the famous Long Walk. Windsor owes such to King George III, for allowed the town are fine examples of the splendid building of his cra. Queen Victoria who statue stands at the bottom of Castle Hill, spent most of the years of her widowhood there. Many of the shops in Windsor have the ''By Appointment'' sign hanging over their doors and the sovereign very often shops personally in the town.
