River Mattervispa flowing through Zermatt in SwitzerlandMore information:
Editorial use only. The river Mattervispa flows from the Gorner Glacier through Zermatt towards Visp in Switzerland. Here it is entering Zermatt from the west. Water has been released from the hydro-electric installation further upstream and is flowing rapidly creating waves and a strong current. Further up there are bridges providing access to the cable car installation at Winkelmatten from where the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise and Schwarzsee Paradise are reached through Furi. The famous Matterhorn features prominently in the background
