Meet Barney the baby orangutan. Ragunan Zoo, Jakarta: THESE ADORABLE photos show a baby orangutan clinging to its mother to create the cutest bundle of fur you are likely to see. Images show how the months-old baby Barney was wrapped tightly in the arms of mother, Monica, whilst staring directly at the photographer. Orangutans build nests, an activity the young are encouraged to do as it develops their skills and proficiency before they mature. A female orangutan gives birth for the first time around the age of 15 years old. The young baby orangutan will weigh between three and four pounds. Over its lifetime, it will grow to be around 165 pounds and stand taller than four feet high. These images were taken by photographer Endra Agustianto (50) at Ragunan Zoo in Jakarta, Indonesia, using an Olympus OMD 1 Mark ii camera. ?The orangutans were playing, sunbathing and eating, ? said Endra. ?I love waiting for the right moment to get movement and facial expressions from orangutans. ?I love it when the baby orangutan interacts with its mother. ?Let's protect orangutans from extinction.? mediadrumimages/EndraAgustianto
