Members from The City of London Solicitors' company seen performing and marching along the Bank of England, during the parade. The Lord Mayor's Show dates back to the early 13th century, when King John rashly allowed the City of London to appoint its own Mayor. Every year, the newly-elected Mayor tours the city in a golden carriage to swear loyalty to the Crown. This year, Alderman Vincent Keaveny was elected as the 693rd Lord Mayor of the City of London. The parade begins at Mansion House. (Photo by Belinda Jiao/SOPA Images/Sipa USA)
