The resting place of the ashes of of novelist, historian and politician, John Buchan, 1st Baron Tweedsmuir, in the churchyard at Elsfield, Oxfordshire, UK. He lived from 1875-1940 and became the Governor-General of Canada. He was given a State funeral there and his ashes were returned to England and buried near his home in Elsfield. The circular stone marking his grave is inscribed on the top with 'Christ Conquers' in Greek whilst the border gives his name and honours his service to his country..
