Mi Amigo 75th anniversary, Endcliffe Park, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England. February 22nd 2019. Thousands of people gather in the city's Endcliffe Park to honour the 10 man crew of the B-17 flying fortress, 'Mi Amigo', which crashed there 75 years ago. The plane was hit during a bombing raid over Denmark. It limped back to England, but crashed killing the entire crew, when the pilot deliberately ditched in a wooded area beside the park in order to avoid children who were playing there. A service was held, followed by a fly-past of British and US aircraft. Copyright Ian Wray/Alamy Live news
