The MUSE is a science museum, opened in Trento in July 2013, housed in an iconic building designed by the famous Italian architect Renzo Piano, which metaphorically resembles a mountain. On six floor levels, the permanent exhibition at the Muse depicts the life on planet Earth and presents topics focused on science and nature through an intriguing set of specimens, reconstructions, multimedia exhibits, interactive games, and graphic panels in Italian, English and German. Special activities at the MUSE include learning classes for students and teachers, temporary exhibitions and special events dedicated to a diverse set of subjects, such as the relationship between food and nature or how technology and design are inspired by natural forms. Along with exhibition spaces and laboratories, the museum building, which is fully accessible to people with disabilities, includes a tropical greenhouse, a museum store, a cafeteria and a panoramic terrace
