My Real Baby robot. This interactive robotic baby doll was developed by US company iRobot and Hasbro from a prototype called BIT. It used animatronic technology to mimic the facial expression of a human baby by changing the contours on its lifelike rubber face. Small sensors under the rubber skin trigger the appropriate response according to a child's touch. For example, the doll will giggle if it is tickled. It will also request a bottle after a certain period of play. Sold from 2000, the My Real Baby robot is no longer in production.
