More information:

The Ngas are known to have come originally from Yemen through kanem, and ultimately from Borno to their present location. They are believed to have left Borno sometime between 1100 and 1350 AD. The Ngas themselves had come originally from Kanem and so became part of the pre-kanuri inhabitants of the plains Bornu, owning sheep and perhaps cattle but not a camel. Linguistically Ngas belongs to the Afro asiantic class called the Chadic group of languages. The Ngas people are hardworkng, industrious, selfless, trusted, reliable, and dependable people, and have at one point or other made their mark in different fields of human endeavors.
