Deribasovskaya is a popular place for festivities. There are numerous cafes and shops on Deribasovskaya. The street got its name in honour of Jose de Ribas, the founder of Odessa and its first mayor, whose house was located on this very street. Later, his brother Felix de Ribas lived here.
