Olympia Leisure Centre, Belfast, Northern Ireland. 22nd May 2019. A life-sized bronze statue of former Northern Ireland and Manchester United legend George Best was unveiled in Belfast today. Universally accepted as one of the all-time greats, Best who died on 25th November 2005, would have been 73 today. The bronze statue was created by Belfast sculptor Tony Currie and was publicly-funded. The statue now sits outside the modern Olympia Leisure Centre, a matter of yards from the ground - Windsor Park - that Best graced many times. Credit: David Hunter/Alamy Live News
