Pics show: Old cinema in Sri Lanka.Regal cinema in Negombo which is 90 years old and one of the oldest in Sri Lanka. The cinema still employs two full time projectionist running ancient Indian projectors, Monee M14's They get so hot that they have chimneys attached to them to try to pump away the heat from the old style projectors. These are Indian "Monee" projectors which are based on the original American "Century" projectors. But they are very prone to breaking down. Mr P. Wiijesinghe, yellow shirt, and his assistant Niroshan are on full time hand to keep everything running through the 6 reel show.
