On the way to Manchester under the Minister of Labour '' Westward Ho '' scheme , they will learn spinning and weaving in Lancashire Some of them have fathers and brothers in England . The girls are from families that trekked across Russia to Iran during the war, where they were sheltered by British Military authorities before being sent to camps in India and Kenya.
