Qiao Rui, center, the sole male chief nurse at the Affiliated Hospital of Shanxi University of Chinese Medicine, instructs other nurses in an office room in Taiyuan city, north China's Shanxi province, 17 October 2017. Qiao Rui, the sole male chief nurse at the Affiliated Hospital of Shanxi University of Chinese Medicine, has been working as a nurse for 14 years in Taiyuan city, north China's Shanxi province. Qiao changed his applications for College Entrance Examination, also known as Gaokao, and chose the nursing as his major. He was not adapted to work as a nurse because he was the sole male nurse at the hospital where he worked at the beginning. Later, he decided to release his burdens and concentrated on his job and found that male nurses played an important role at the hospitals. He never made mistakes in his work and became the chief nurse soon.
