Queenborough, Kent, UK. 7th May, 2018. Queenborough is celebrating the 650th anniversary of becoming a borough and the special status bestowed upon the town by Edward III in his charter of May 1368, this weekend. Today at 1pm actors from the Medieval Combat Society put on a procession through Queenborough high street featuring King Edward III and Queen Philippa in a horse drawn cart proceeding from the harbour to the site of the former castle built by Edward III. This is an inaugural celebration to mark the anniversary and bring the town’s history to life. Credit: James Bell/Alamy Live News
