Radley Village, Oxfordshire, England - 27 November 2020; No people in shot. You have to be up nice and early to get this shot- early morning spider webs, bejewelled by water droplets, on a foggy Autumn morning. This one was seen on the exterior a locked fence to a farm field in Lower Radley Village, Oxfordshire. Why are webs so visible at this time of year, you may ask? There are two reasons - firstly the water condensing from the vapour-saturated foggy air makes them light up magically - just like this - when the sun is low. And secondly, the spiders must breed before they die. That means they must fatten up. And that means they need food, fast. Isn't science just wonderful?
