Tim Weber, commander, Naval Medical Forces Pacific and director of the Navy’s Medical Service Corps (MSC), talks with Haley Barravecchia and her family before her commissioning ceremony at the Navy Talent Acquisition Group New England offices in Boston, June 28. Weber commissioned Barravecchia, who received her graduate degree in public health from Harvard University, into the U.S. Navy as an MSC officer. She will serve as an environmental health officer, protecting Sailors and Marines from diseases and other public health threats.
