She brought home members of the crew of the cruiser Ceylon, now being refitted in Singapore, after over two years in Korean waters. The Vengeance is to be lent to the Royal Australian Navy to fill the gap until the completion of the light fleet carrier now being built in the United Kingdom for Australia. August 28, 1952.

H.M.S. vengeance, the fight fleet carrier which is being lent to the Royal Australian Navy, was turned over to an Australian naval steaming party at Devonport today (Thursday).
