Sheerness, Kent, UK. 13th January 2020. Sheerness Dockyard Church part of the former Royal Naval Dockyard, which closed 60 years ago, is undergoing restoration thanks to the Heritage Lottery Fund. The Trust overseeing the restoration is chaired by Will Palin (son of TV's Michael Palin). Pictures show the building which was badly damaged by fire in 2001 under scaffolding. Once restored it will be an enterprise center to help young people develop & sustain business ideas, as well as a community hub featuring an original scale model of Sheerness Dockyard.
