RM2CC6R1K–September 1935 - Sir Malcolm Campbell's ( 1885-1948) 'Bluebird' record braking racing car being refuelled at Bonneville Flats, Utah, USA, where on the 3rd of September 1935, Campbell became the first person to drive an automobile over 300 mph. Campbell unsuccessfully stood for Parliament at the 1935 general election in Deptford as a Conservative Party candidate. He is also said to have had links to the British Union of Fascists and to have once flown a swastika flag from his own private car. Campbell eventually died of natural causes (Stroke in 1948)
