Six-spot burnet ( Zygaena filipendulae) moth foraging at Canvey Wick Nature Reserve, Essex, Britain. This Nature Reserve an SSSI has been the site of several suspected arson attacks this year causing damage to over two hectares of land resulting in habitat loss for many diverse flora, plant and animal species on this site. It was a great pleasure considering the recent fires to discover several colonies of Burnet Moths foraging among wildflowers on the date of this visit.
