Soldiers from the West Virginia Army National Guard's 1st Battalion, 150th Aviation Regiment and 2nd Battalion, 19th Special Forces Group (Airborne) rehearse extraction techniques with a jungle penetrator in a disaster response scenario in support of Operation Vigilant Guard at St. Croix, Virgin Islands. The WVARNG Soldiers went to St. Thomas and St. Croix to train in natural disaster relief scenarios with the Virgin Island National Guard. Vigilant Guard is a national level, full-scale exercise sponsored by US Northern Command (NORTHCOM) and supported by the National Guard Bureau.
