Statue of Hygieia, Goddess of Health. Roman, after a Greek original of 3rd century BC. In Greek and Roman mythology Hygieia was the daughter of Asklepios, the God of Medicine. Her name is the source of the word 'hygiene'. Found in the collection of The Hermitage, St Petersburg.
