Sealed Amphora Containing Oil, New Kingdom, Dynasty 18, early, ca. 1492–1473 B.C., From Egypt, Upper Egypt, Thebes, Sheikh Abd el-Qurna, Tomb of Hatnefer and Ramose, Unfired clay, mud, linen, H. 64 cm (25 3/16 in.); Greatest w. 44 cm (17 5/16 in.); Diam. 31 cm (12 3/4 in.), This amphora has an inscription in hieratic dated to year 7 of the joint reign of Hatshepsut and Thutmose III. The inscription indicates that the jar contains two measures of setwy oil. The mud stopper, which completely covers the neck and mouth of the jar, was stamped with the seal of 'Hatshepsut, God's Wife of Every Land
