080723-N-7730P-133 PACIFIC OCEAN (July 23, 2008) Aviation Ordnanceman 2nd Class David Mathews installs a set screw after replacing a nose plug on a laser guided bomb unit (GBU) 32 bomb aboard the Nimitz-class nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). The nose plug is removed in order to attach a lift bar to the bomb to be used in a manual lift. The Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility.
